Kids Connection
At Litchfield Christian Church, we believe it is our responsibility to teach children about God’s truth in an age-appropriate manner AND to also teach them how to worship as an intergenerational body of believers.
To accomplish this, we offer weekly Children’s sermons during the worship service immediately following our communion time for any children who want to join in. The kids enjoy having a role in the service and learning along with the congregation.
At the conclusion of the Children’s sermon, the kids are dismissed to go to Kids Connection, a lesson time intended for kids up through 5th grade, while the congregation stays for the morning message. This allows children to worship with their families during both our singing and communion time but to also have a learning time of their own.
In Kids Connection, we are working through the Bible, focusing on main characters and narratives to familiarize kids with God’s word. Each week, we watch a Christian produced short video, practice finding the account in the Bible and reading it, and have activities that help us understand how each account relates to our lives. The kids return to their families for the closing song.
